I have rear feet but new balance and Solomon shoes have been my go-to for many years. I buy a lot of shoes I love shoes. Sometimes I buy them on Amazon sometimes I buy elsewhere but they're always Solomon or New balance. These shoes the only reason I gave it four stars is it just not as comfortable as most New balance shoes that I've bought in the past. Most new balance you can put on and not have to worry about break in and they feel Good right from the start these have taken a little time to break in a little bit and now they're feeling better but just not as good as other new balance. What I recommend them yeah I'm more by them for the style than I do tennis. I don't play tennis. But there are sharp looking shoe.I've been playing tennis in these shoes for about 4 months now. They've held up REALLY well and the soles are now showing wear. I probably average 3 days of tennis per week at about 2-3 sets. There's some small separation that's started at the side, but doesn't seem severe. These shoes are pretty heavy compared to the light-weight tennis shoes. However, I believe do to this and the solid quality they appear to have, has led them to last and wear so well. Overall the wear has been pretty even and durable.I'm about to buy my 3rd pair since I play a pretty aggressive pickle ball game and the courts will gnaw a hole by my big toe area after a year or so. I see some reviewers complaining about the shoe being tight... This is not a fashion shoe. This is a sport shoe meant to hold your foot in place when playing a sport requiring fast stops and moves. This fit is perfect! I wear a size 10 in all my other shoes and the size 10 is a great fit, and I do NOT have narrow feet! I was pleasantly surprised to see this shoe available (my first choice in size and style was not) within 2 weeks. Instead, it arrived 2 days later! Great. I'm glad I ordered. The fit is true to order - 8.5W fits as other NB 996 shoes I have ordered/worn.These are nice shoes, fit nicely, look good, and excellent support. After two months of tennis averaging about 3 to 4 hours a week the soles look good with little wear but the right shoe started making noise with every step. It feels like something has come loose so I am back to my old shoes and looking for new ones. Seems like everyone in the world has bought my size already. Or they just aren't being made now. One thing for certain, I will not be buying this model of NB tennis shoes again. I haven't even worn off the bottom of the soles yet and they are no longer wearable. Expensive shoes to throw out after only two months.I purchased these shoes for my son in a size 13. When the shoes arrived he was in love with the color and so was the rest of my family (in fact my husband wanted a pair for his self) but the happiness soon fizzled when we realized that his shoe is cut VERY narrow. My son does have a little bit of a wide foot however the leather strapping on the shoes made it a difficult fit.*SN* I also purchased the multi-colored shoe for my husband in a size 15. Those arrived last night. These shoes fit my son perfectly, although he is in a 13, they also fit my husband. Hubby tried on the shoes and again they felt too narrow due to the leather strapping however fit better than they did with my son in the orange shoes. Hubby was able to try the shoes on with a thinner sock and it worked perfectly.I have an issue with my feet, so my orthopedist "prescribed" me New Balance 2Es and insoles many years ago. Last ones lasted almost 3 years.I've always worn 10.5 with the insoles, but these 996 fit a little smaller, so take that into account when ordering. For the rest, everything as expected.I like to run everything down and these shoes don't disappoint. They're durable and fit well. I actually dropped half a size from my previous New Balance 1296 shoes. These are still stable, but have an easier mobility. I just bought my second pair and I'm deciding on whether to stash another pair of the claret color in my closet. At the end of the day, shoes are about fit and performance. Still, style isn't totally inconsequential. I can say that in these, I'm complemented all the time. So far, for all the reasons mentioned, this is my favorite New Balance tennis shoe. If Amazon didn't charge a $50 premium on the blue color, I'd consider them as well.Scarpe solide, resistenti ma anche morbide e flessibili.
